Technically, I was to meet Bryce Black several months ago when planning Portland’s first menswear fashion show. That show is still in the recesses of my closet, but the designs of Art Institute’s Bryce Black certainly are not, nor should they be. I was formally introduced to his work at the Portland Sewing Center fashion show last month where he was the standout designer. For this Idahoan native, his designs evoke editorial fantasies. Prior to my Los Angeles trip, we met for coffee & chatted everything from Alexander McQueen to Catwoman.  Christine Taylor as photographer,
makeup by Sokha Sok, hair by Graye Gudotti.
